The Perpetual Junior Altas track and field team delivered a golden performance in the NCAA athletics tournament which finally made a comeback at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The Junior Altas collected a total of 804.5 points in 18 events to claim the title this season, while the Jose Rizal University Light Bombers landed second spot 657.25 points. The Arellano Braves tallied 503 points for third place.

Marvin Ramos of San Fernando, Pampanga was named the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player (MVP) after collecting gold medals in 100 meters, long jump, and was part of the triumphant 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Junior Altas head coach Philip Silloco was hailed as Coach of the Year.

Franz Matos contributed gold medals in 200m, 400m, 4x100m and 4x400 relay, and bronze in the century dash. 

The Dr./BGen. Antonio Tamayo-owned educational institution collected a total of 13 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals plus several personal best and record breaking performances.
