CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized shabu and marijuana worth P5.1 million and arrested five suspected drug pushers from June 3 to 9 in the Cordillera region.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera said two suspects were apprehended through the implementation of search warrants in Kalinga and Apayao, one was nabbed in a checkpoint in Kalinga, one from a police response in Mountain Province, and one through the service of a warrant of arrest in Baguio City.
A total of 12.69 grams of suspected shabu worth P86,292 were confiscated from the suspects – four were streel-level individuals and one was a high-value individual.
The suspects face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Lawmen, in separate eradication operations, discovered 6,100 fully grown marijuana plants and 7,650 marijuana seedlings worth P1.5 million from plantations in Kibungan and Bakun, Benguet.
On the other hand, 29,000 grams of dried marijuana stalks valued at P3.4 million were recovered on Lamut Road in Shilan, La Trinidad, Benguet during a mobile patrol.
