Mandaluyong, Pasig LGUs to hold Independence Day job fairs


The city governments of Mandaluyong and Pasig will hold job fairs on Wednesday, June 12, in celebration of the country's 126th Independence Day.

According to the Pasig City local government unit (LGU), its Kalayaan Job Fair 2024 will be held at SM City East Ortigas from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Around 50 local and 10 overseas companies will be participating in the event.

Aside from job vacancies, a One-Stop-Shop will also be available in the job fair where first-time jobseekers may avail of free services such as police clearance, NBI clearance, and registration for various government agencies which includes the Bureau of Internal Avenue (BIR), Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and Social Security System (SSS).

To avail of the free services, first-time jobseekers are told to present their Barangay Certification proving that the individual is a first-time jobseeker and resident of their barangay. This also shows the number of months or years the jobseeker is living in the barangay (The jobseeker must be living in the barangay for more than six months).

A valid ID is also required to avail of the free One-Stop-Shop services.

To be able to participate in the job fair, jobseekers must first register using the QR code found on the event's material posted on the city's official Facebook page.

They are also told to prepare multiple copies of their resumé, bring their own ballpen, and to dress accordingly.  

Mandaluyong City's 2024 Local and Overseas Kalayaan Job Fair will be held at the 5th floor, Mega Trade Hall 3 of SM Megamall from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Like in Pasig City, jobseekers are required to register using the QR code found on the event's material.

A One-Stop-Shop offering services from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will also be available for jobseekers.
