Over 700 'Batang Kankaloo' graduate from Caloocan City's free livelihood training program

 A total of 727 trainees graduated from the free livelihood training program of the Caloocan City Manpower Training Center (CCMTC) on Thursday, May 9.

The trainees were from North and South Caloocan and graduated from various vocational training courses offered by the CCMTC, such as computer operations, automotive servicing, and cosmetics. 

Mayor Dale “Along” Malapitan commended the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for providing livelihood opportunities to the residents.

“Patuloy pong layunin ng pamahalaang lungsod ang pagbibigay ng oportunidad sa ating mga kababayan na kumita para sa kanilang araw-araw na pamumuhay, sa pamamagitan man po ng mga trabaho, negosyo, o mga skills na maari nilang magamit. Kaya po nagpapasalamat tayo sa PESO at sa CCMTC para sa tuloy-tuloy na pagtugon sa direktibang ito (The goal of the city government is to provide opportunities for our citizens to earn a living, whether through jobs, businesses, or skills that they can use. That's why we thank PESO and the CCMTC for consistently responding to this directive),” Mayor Malapitan said.

The city mayor also said that the local government will implement more projects for Persons with Disabilities, solo parents, and senior citizens. 

“Gaya po ng lagi kong sinasabi, lagi nating uunahin ang kapakanan ng mga Batang Kankaloo na mas kailangan ng tulong natin. Kaya naman po asahan niyo ang iba pa nating mga programang pangkabuhayan lalo na sa mga kapatid nating persons with disability (PWDs), mga senior citizens, at sa mga solo parents (We will always prioritize the welfare of the batang Kankaloo who need our help the most. That's why you can expect more livelihood programs, especially for persons with disability (PWDs), senior citizens, and single parents),” he added.

The graduates also received livelihood kits from the local government to help kickstart their careers.
