Man drowns in Pangasinan river

CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – A 34-year-old man drowned while swimming on the Manaol River in Barangay Manaol, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan on Wednesday, May 8.

Police said the victim, who was allegedly drunk, went swimming with his brother on the river. 

The victim dived into the deep part of the river and failed to failed to surface, prompting his brother to call for assistance from barangay officials.

The victim was found and taken to a hospital here where he was declared dead.
