The supposed destabilization against the current Marcos government can have a negative impact on the country's employment situation.
Thus, said Manila 1st district Rep. Ernesto Dionisio Jr. in a press conference Thursday, May 9 wherein he addressed the increase in the Philippines’ unemployment rate from 3.5 percent in February to 3.9 percent in March.
"I just want to point out, yung mga nangyayaring destabilization, yung mga nangyayaring negative comment na hindi naman called for, that is one reason also that may affect yung paghahanap ng trabaho ng mga tao," said Dionisio, a House assistant majority leader.
(These ongoing destabilization moves, these negative comments that are uncalled for, that is one reason also that may affect the people's ability to find jobs.)
"There are less possible foreign investors if there's instability in the nation," he said.
Dionisio believes that the present administration is "doing strides to augment yung [the] need for job creation".
As such, he asked Filipinos to be supportive of the Chief Executive, as opposed to those involved in the alleged destabilization.
"Sana (I hope)...we support the President because he is really a hardworking president (who is) looking [for] the interest of the Filipino people," Dionisio said.
"Let's pray for him and let's support him. Stop the...and problems will hopefully be solved like job creation," he added.
