2 women yield P20-M shabu in Lapu-Lapu City

CEBU CITY – At least P20 million worth of suspected shabu was seized from two women in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City on Wednesday night, May 8.

The two women, who both live in the barangay, were arrested by the Police Station 4, Drug Enforcement Unit, and Intelligence Unit.

Police said the two women were listed as high-value individuals and had been placed under close monitoring before their arrest.

“This marks another triumph in our fight against illegal drugs considering its negative consequences on our communities,” Police Col. Ali Baron, chief of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO), said.

Baron warned those involved in the illegal drug trade that the LLCPO will continue its relentless anti-illegal drug campaign.

“Once again, the commitment and diligence of our operational units have paid off, and I would like to thank them for their unwavering efforts in this battle,” said Baron.
