For one unforgettable night, the ultra-elegant Maynila Ballroom of the Manila Hotel dazzled with an overflow of beauties as Miss Universe Philippines 2024 held its Sponsors' Night with no less than visiting Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua as the guest of honor.

It was the last night of Sheynnis in Manila before flying the next day to her next destination: India. Wearing an eye-catching Filipiniana terno with a touch of pink, she thanked everyone in the Philippines "for the most beautiful welcoming and homecoming."

"It's very, very special to me, this visit, this part of my Asia tour, because you, the Philippines people, made me feel very, very Filipina," Sheynnis remarked. "Thank you in the name of the Miss Universe organization, thank you in the name of the Miss Universe Philippines, and thank you in the name of the more than six million Nicaraguenses, Nicaraguan people in my country," she added.

Sheynnis was accompanied by Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee. Afterward,  the pageant sponsors and their representatives took turns having a photo opportunity with Miss Universe. Among those called were Bingo Plus, Kemans,  "Mr. Walk Win" Jojo Bragais, Hello Glow, Aqua Boracay Resort, Wuling, PLDT, Philippine Airlines, Avon, Options, Surge Fitness and others.

The MUPH 2024 candidates were also in a "fangirl" mode. Fully made up and dressed in sophisticated Filipiniana attire, they took selfies or pictures with Sheynnis for posterity.

In their interview with broadcaster Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN, here's what some of the girls had to say:

Kris Tiffany Janson (Cebu): "Being next to her in this universe is not something new. Because we have Pia and Catriona. But it's really different when it's the reigning queen. And especially her. She made a big difference in the history of her country. And she's just really beautiful. She's very, very nice. And you can feel her aura, that she's a very genuine person.

Ahtisa Manalo (Quezon): "She's so beautiful, and she's so warm. And I really wanted to take a photo with her, but I didn't have my phone. So, I asked our staff member to take photos of us because I wanted a memory with her."

Stacey Gabriel (Cainta): "She just emanates such generosity, sincerity, and warmth. And I'm obsessed with her. I got teary-eyed when she started speaking. You can feel her love and appreciation for Filipinos, but also how much she misses her country."

Tarah Valencia (Baguio): "Napaka-humble ni Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios, and I could talk to her in a short time. Super-humble nya. May time pa sana to mingle and talk with her, sobrang bait nya."
