Two suspected motorcycle thieves and an armed man were arrested by authorities in the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) and Doña Remedios Trinidad, respectively, on Monday, May 6.
In reports submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the CSJDM police promptly responded to a report about a motorcycle that was forcibly taken from a man by two suspects along Governor F. Halili Road, Brgy. Gaya-Gaya on Monday, at around 2 a.m. on May 6.
Elements from the CSJDM and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) units immediately conducted a hot pursuit operation which led to a confrontation with the suspects.
During the chase, one of the suspects who was riding the stolen motorcycle collided with a Toyota Innova. He was arrested. The second suspect was intercepted by SWAT personnel of CSJDM. During the subsequent search, various improvised firearms were found in their possession.
The suspects were taken to the Ospital ng Lungsod ng San Jose Del Monte for treatment. They will face charges for violations of R.A. 10883, Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Damage to Property, R.A. 10591, and Attempted Homicide.
Meanwhile, in Doña Remedios Trinidad, a 49-year-old man was arrested by authorities for violation of R.A. 10591, R.A. 7610 and threats in Sitio Kutad, Brgy. Camachile, Dona Remedios Trinidad (DRT), Bulacan around 8 p.m. on May 6.
The man was arrested after threatening people in the community. Confiscated from him was one Cal.22 revolver without a serial number and loaded with six live cartridges.
