Red Lotus by Modern Shang is now open

If you’re seeking a BGC spot to hang out with friends for a chill night out and enjoy authentic Chinese dishes and cocktails, look no further than the newly opened Red Lotus by Modern Shang. Located at One Bonifacio High Street, this Chinese resto-bar is the younger, hip outlet of Modern Shang dining by The Bistro Group.

Its interiors transport you to a stylish watering hole with dramatic black details, rich red hues, and gold touches. Red Lotus’ dark mood provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing ambiance, ideal for an elevated dining and drinking experience.

The resto-bar draws inspiration from modernized interpretations of traditional Chinese motifs, such as arched portals and intricate patterns. Its standout feature is the ceiling, where descending wood forms symbolize the contemporary skyline of Shanghai.

With an intimate ambiance and subtle lighting, the fully stocked bar is where guests gather to drink and enjoy specially curated music that enhances the atmosphere. It offers a wide array of signature cocktails and mocktails, including Sichuan Sour, Dragon’s Potion, Pineapple Mint Fizz, and Coco and Basil.

The food selection boasts Chinese delicacies with a contemporary twist, such as Roast Duck, Xiao Long Bao, Cuapao Pork Belly Roll, Mongolian Glazed Beef Tenderloin, Shanghai Udon Noodles with Roast Duck, Crispy String Beans, Century Egg Tofu, and Tung Bor Peachy Glazed Pork.

To elevate the experience even further, a DJ plays upbeat pop and R&B tunes on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
