Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan is inviting Tondo, Manila residents to attend the "Kalinga sa Maynila" on Wednesday, May 8.
The next Kalinga forum will be held ainCapulong Street in Tondo, Manila, covering Barangays 92 and 93.
Kalinga sa Maynila is a program initiated by Lacuna-Pangan that aims to bring the services of the city government closer to the barangays.
The city government said Kalinga sa Maynila now offers even more expanded services to help more Manileños.
It noted that aside from medical consultation, the residents who will attend the forum will be able to avail of basic medicines, deworming, rabies vaccination, civil registry services, tricycle or parking registration, identification cards for persons with disability PWDs), solo parents, and senior citizens, clearing and flushing operations, water, electricity and building permit inquiries, notary services, police clearance, and job vacancies, among others.
Lacuna-Pangan reiterated that officers from basic departments, bureaus, and offices, who are usually sought after by residents at Manila City Hall will be attending the forum to readily address queries, concerns, and suggestions.
Among the departments, bureaus, and offices that will grace the forum are the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau, Department of Public Services-Manila, Department of Engineering and Public Works- Manila, Manila Police District, Manila Barangay Bureau, Manila Civil Registry Office, City Legal Office, Manila, Manila Health Department, Manila Department of Social Welfare, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) -City of Manila, Manila OSCA, Manila Veterinary Inspection Board (VIB) and City Treasurer’s Office Manila.
Lacuna-Pangan said the job fair will also be held in the same area and will be open to all Manileños.
The booths manned by representatives of different LGU offices, bureaus, and departments will also be installed outside the forum area to entertain concerns and requests for assistance.
