Man arrested for illegal possession of firearm, public disturbance in Pasay City

A 25-year-old man was arrested by members of the Pasay City police Substation 7 for illegal possession of firearms and public disturbance on Sunday, May 5. 

The Southern Police District said City police chief Col. Mario Mayames reported the arrest of alias Non at around 11:30 p.m. along Aurora Boulevard in Barangay 184, Maricaban Pasay City.

Mayames said members of police Substation 7 were conducting a night patrol and responded to a call regarding a man allegedly brandishing a firearm and causing public alarm.

He said the responding policemen found the suspect challenging bystanders while brandishing a gun.

The city police chief said confiscated from the suspect was a .9mm caliber pistol with seven live ammunitions.

Mayames said the suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility and was charged for illegal possession of firearms and public disturbance.
