Fire hits house in Muntinlupa

A fire destroyed a home in Muntinlupa on May 7, causing P1.2 million in property damage.

According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the fire started at 7:45 a.m. at a three-storey house on Rosal Bergado Taas Compound in Summitville 2 in Barangay Putatan.

The fire affected 18 individuals including the house owner and employees. Investigators indicated that the fire started from an employee’s bedroom on the third floor.

Firefighters raised the first alarm at 7:50 a.m. The blaze was put under control at 8:08 a.m. before it was put out at 8:43 a.m. No one was injured in the incident

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A total of 13 fire trucks and three ambulances responded to the incident.
