BOC-NAIA seizes P85M worth of Ecstasy tablets

Agents of the Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) seized around P85 million worth of Ecstasy tablets during a controlled delivery operation at the Central Mail Exchange Center on the domestic road in Pasay City.

BOC-NAIA district collector Yasmin Mapa said at least four people were already arrested when they tried to claim the parcels containing the tablets from the Netherlands.

Mapa said the parcels contain around 50,000 pieces of Ecstasy tablets. 

The official said the parcels were misdeclared as dog food . 

Mapa said investigation is now being conducted to identify those involved in the busted drug smuggling.
