Woman, nephew caught in drug sting

BACOLOD CITY â€“ Police seized 59 grams of suspected shabu valued at P401,000 from a woman and her nephew in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 3 here on Sunday, May 5.

The suspects were identified as Annabelle Talaver, 53, and 23-year-old Ricardo Talaver, residents of Barangay 3.

Police said Annabelle was the subject of the operation and her nephew allegedly conspired with her in their alleged illegal activity.

The suspects, newly-identified individuals, were subjected to the operation after police received information from the community about their activity.

They are in the custody of Police Station 2 and drug charges are being readied against them.
