As I unboxed the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, I was immediately drawn to its sleek design. The leather-effect rear panel with an embossed pattern and shiny metallic accents exuded a premium feel. But beyond aesthetics, the camera system truly sets this phone apart.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra boasts a very exciting camera system, combining Huawei's renowned image processing with a large 1-inch sensor for the first time. Here are some key features that caught my attention:

1. Telescoping Lens: The phone features a telescoping lens barrel, similar to what you'd find on a compact camera. This clever design keeps the phone slim while accommodating a large sensor with a variable aperture. The 50-megapixel primary camera manages to cram a 1-inch type sensor and a wide aperture of f/1.6 to f/4.0 into a device within a width of just 8.4mm.

2. High-Speed Action Photography: Huawei's snapshot mode uses exposure bracketing and computational magic to provide crystal-clear action shots free from motion blur. Whether you capture sports events or your hyperactive pet, this feature promises impressive results.

3. Ultra-Fast Charging: The Pura 70 Ultra supports up to 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. Say goodbye to waiting around for your phone to juice up!\

Dive into a world of vivid visuals with the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra's stunning display. Whether you're streaming your favorite movies or scrolling through vibrant social feeds, the expansive screen delivers crisp details and rich colors. With its edge-to-edge design and buttery smooth refresh rate, every swipe feels like a seamless journey.

However, it's important to note that for some users, the Pura 70 Ultra does have its limitations. The absence of Google services could be a challenge for those accustomed to them. If you're willing to adapt to these limitations, the camera's capabilities might make it worth the investment. Personally, I've had no issues with my previous Huawei phones, whether with or without Google services. As a long-time Huawei P60 Pro user, I've found the device to be a reliable companion even without Google. As what Bason Wang, Marketing Director of Huawei Philippines, told me, "No Google, no problem." I am now using the Pura 70 Ultra without sideloading Google services.

On my first day of use, I was impressed with the Pura 70 Ultra's camera capabilities and high-end design. Whether it's worth the steep price tag depends on your priorities. If photography is your passion, this phone could be a dream come true.

I look forward to spending more time with this intriguing device and exploring its full potential. Stay tuned for a more detailed review!
