The Police Regional Office-13 said the suspect was nabbed in Sitio Pallacot, Barangay Caligayan, Tumauini, on Sunday, May 5.

PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said the suspect was arrested on a warrant dated February 3, 2023 issued by the 10th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur for statutory rape.

No bail was recommended for the suspect, Ometer said.

The suspect allegedly raped an 11-year-old girl in March 2017 in Agusan del Sur.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft cited operating units for the arrest of the suspect.

“This success is another testament to the dedication and commitment of Caraga cops in hauling to jail those individuals sought by the law.”

“Our police successfully located the whereabouts of the wanted individual despite his attempt to evade arrest by hiding more than 1,000 kilometers away from the region,” Kraft added.
