Self-proclaimed foodie President Marcos expressed his openness to try the viral Diwata Pares Overload and other similar pares stores as he emphasized the importance of social media as a tool in promoting Filipino delicacy worldwide.

Marcos said this as he urged Filipinos as he noted of the Philippines’ rich culture when it comes to food and cooking.

The President’s most recent vlog showed screenshots of different pares stalls, including DIwata Pare Overload, going viral on the social media platform Tiktok and hinted at his desire to try them.

Pares, commonly beef pares, is Filipino braised beef stew served with garlic fried rice. The most viral one, Diwata Pares Overload located in Pasay City, is seeing long lines of curious foodies waiting to get a tasted of Diwata’s servings.

“Gamit ang social media, lalo pa nating malalaman na may mga pagkain na dapat dayuhin at subukan (Through social media, we are able to discover food that we should travel for and try),” he said.

“May mga nagba-viral ngayon na mga paresan. Mukhang masasarap! Tingnan nga natin at masubukan natin (There are different pares stalls going viral recently. They all look good! Let’s see and try them),” he added.

Meanwhile, President Marcos encouraged Filipinos to continue supporting FIlipino food and even asked his viewers to suggest which ones to try.

“Sa mga foodie na kagaya ko, i-comment ninyo kung ano ang food trip natin dapat sa susunod na linggo (To foodies like me, comment what our food trip for next week should be),” he said.

“Patuloy po nating suportahan ang ating mga lokal na pagkain at produkto (Let us continue supporting our local food and products),” he added.
