Metro Manila, 29 other areas may have 'dangerous' heat indices on May 4
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 30 areas including Metro Manila may experience “dangerous” heat indices on Saturday, May 4.

PAGASA said Ninoy Aquino International Aiport (NAIA) in Pasay City, alongside Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Isabela State University (ISU) in Echague, Isabela; Casiguran, Aurora; Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo; Infanta, Quezon; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; Cuyo, Palawan; Masbate City, Masbate; Roxas City, Capiz; La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental; Borongan, Eastern Samar; Guiuan, Eastern Samar; Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur; and Cotabato City, Maguindanao may have heat index of 42°C.
PAGASA may also record a heat index of 47°C in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, followed by a heat index of 46°C in Aparri, Cagayan.
A heat index of 45°C may also be felt in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, while a heat index of 44°C may be experienced in Bacnotan, La Union; Iba, Zambales; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Virac, Catanduanes; and Central Bicol State University (CBSUA) in Pili, Camarines Sur.
In Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in Batac, Ilocos Norte; Tuguegarao, Cagayan; Aborlan, Palawan; Dumangas, Iloilo; and Catarman, Northern Samar; and Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, a heat index of 43°C may be felt.
