Cops arrest 4 most wanted persons in QC manhunt ops


Members of Quezon City Police Station (QCPD) arrested four most wanted persons in the city through its manhunt operations on Friday, May 3.

The QCPD District Anti-Carnapping Unit (QCPD-DACU) operatives arrested its No. 9 most wanted person identified as Edison Miller, 31. He was detained at the detention facility of DACU in Camp Tomas Karingal, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City at around 12:30 p.m.

His arrest was under the warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 76, National Capital Judicial Region (NCJR), Quezon City for violation of  Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.

Meanwhile, members of QCPD Cubao Police Station (QCPD-PS 7) arrested their No. 7 most wanted person at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Tarlac City Jail Female Dormitory in Barangay Baras-Baras, Tarlac City at around 8:30 p.m.

The suspect, identified as Marina Cayanan, 59, was nabbed based on the warrant of arrest issued by Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC), Branch 135, NCJR, Quezon City for violation of six counts of estafa.

QCPD Eastwood Police Station (QCPD-PS 12) operatives arrested the No. 7 most wanted person of Tapaz Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Mambusao Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as Joseph Gimeno Espadon, 26, who was arrested at a bus terminal at Vicente Cruz St., Sampaloc Manila at around 12:10 p.m.

Espadon was arrested based on the warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 21, Sixth Judicial Region, in Mambusao Capiz for frustrated murder.

Meanwhile, QCPD Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (QCPD-PS 13) arrested its No. 10 most wanted person identified as Alfredo Bayabay Tela, 51,a resident of Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, who was arrested at 8:45 p.m.

The apprehended suspect has a pending warrant of arrest issued by RTC, Branch 228, NCJR, Quezon City for violation of two counts of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
