100 residents benefit from Roxas police's community outreach program

At least 100 people have benefitted from the distribution of food packs and other items as part of the police community relations project of the Roxas Municipal Station (MPS) in Oriental Mindoro.

Police Maj. Clyde B. Kalyawen, chief of police of Roxas MPS, said the activity was held in Sitio Uyao, in Barangay Bagumbayan with partners from local government units and other non-government organizations.

Dubbed as Project S.H.A.R.E. (Spreading Hope through Assistance, Relief, and Empowerment), Kalyawen said it is a community service initiative by local police force that aims to provide support and empowerment to underprivileged communities in Roxas town. 

"The success of this project would not have been achievable without the unwavering support of our stakeholders and institutions," said Kalyawen.

"We are confident that with our stakeholders’ backing, we can extend the reach and impact of our endeavors, positively impacting more lives and fostering lasting change within these communities," he added.

Leaders of the Roxas MPS partners, such as the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, Paradigm Colleges of Science and Technology, Inc., John Paul College, Roxas Youth Movement, Seaside Resto Grill, and Tau Gamma Philippines, lauded the program and committed continuous support to achieve the goals of the Project Share. 

Since its inception in December 2023, Project S.H.A.R.E. has already benefited over 800 underprivileged individuals in various communities in Roxas.
