Pasay gov't holds orientation for OSY internship program

The city government of Pasay conducted an orientation for the out-of-school youth (OSY) government internship program (GIP) on Thursday, May 30.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the orientation was held at the Tatay Duay Traning Center. A total of 65 OSY participated and will be part of the GIP program in coordination with the Department of Labor Employment (DOLE).
Rubiano said the participants will be given six-month contract for deployment to the city's offices. They will be paid P601 per day and will be given insurance from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
The mayor said the program is the first step in the participants' employment journey.
Rubiano said the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) will help them find the job that is suited for them as soon they have finished their contract.
