Man drowns on Quezon river

TAYABAS CITY, Quezon -- A-19-year-old man drowned on the Malagonlong River in Barangay Lakawan here on Thursday morning, May 30.

Police identified the victim as Sean, a resident of Barangay Mayao Crossing in Lucena City, this province.

The victim and his friends went to the river for an outing.

The victim swum on the deep part of the river and failed to surface.

The duty guard of the bridge reported the incident to the police.

Rescuers located the body of the victim. He was taken to the Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City where he was declared dead by Dr. Ricky Esmundo.
