Free LRT-2 rides for Marina workers on June 1

Employees of the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) may ride the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) for free on Saturday, June 1, to observe the 50th Anniversary of the agency.

In an advisory, the LRT-2 management said the free rides will be during peak hours from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Those who will avail of the free ride only need to show their company ID to station personnel.

Lawyer Hernando Cabrera, LRTA Administrator, said this initiative is a direct response to the request made by MARINA to acknowledge the dedication and major contributions of its staff towards the advancement of the maritime industry.

"Nakikiisa po ang LRTA sa pagdiriwang ng anibersaryo ng Maritime Industry Authority. Ito pong libreng sakay natin sa LRT-2 para sa Marina employees ay pasasalamat natin sa kanilang dedikasyon, sakripisyo at hindi matatawarang pagseserbisyo sa maritime sector. Hanga po ang LRTA sa inyong walang patid na pagseserbisyo sa mga Pilipinong Marino (We, at LRTA, are pleased to participate in commemorating the anniversary of the Maritime Industry Authority. This free ride for Marina employees is our expression of appreciation for their commitment, sacrifice, and invaluable contribution to the maritime sector.
