The city government announced on Friday, May 31, that the students were from grade school and senior high school levels across various schools in the city and were recognized for their outstanding academic performance and dedication to excellence.

The city government said the cash incentive served not just a reward but also as an encouragement for the students to continue to strive for excellence in their educational pursuits.

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan emphasized the importance of recognizing the achievements of the outstanding students.

I want to congratulate all of you for your hard work and dedication in achieving your dreams. I know that what you went through wasn't easy, so I hope you are proud of what you have accomplished),” he said.

Of course, I also know that your parents and teachers are proud of you. I hope you don't forget everything they taught you and that you repay their love by continuing to work hard and being kind to others),” Malapitan added.
