The Marikina City local government will hold a job fair on June 12, Independence Day, Marikina City Mayor Marcy Teodoro said.

In partnership with SM Marikina, the Kalayaan Job Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SM Marikina.
"Sa pamamagitan ng proyektong ito, mabubuksan ang oportunidad at maipaglalapit ang mga indibidwal na naghahanap ng trabaho at mga kompanya at negosyong nangangailangan ng empleyado (This project will open opportunities to job seekers and connect them with companies that are looking for additional employees)," Teodoro said.
The job fair also serves as a bridge to individuals looking for the right job and help bring down underemployment and other occupational issues.
Filipinos 18 years old and above who are high school graduates, college level, or college graduates, are encouraged to participate in the job fair. They are advised to dress accordingly and bring multiple copies of their resumé.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG will also set up booths to offer their services to the applicants.
