DHSUD approves Las Piñas' comprehensive land use plan

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) awarded the certificate of approval to Las Piñas' Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) on Monday, May 27.

Las Piñas Mayor Imelda Aguilar was represented by City Administrator Reynado Balagulan during the awarding of the Certificate of Approval held at the DHSUD Central Office in Quezon City.

The certificate was received by Balagulan, together with other city government officials, from DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar.

Aguilar said the city’s CLUP features sustainable socialized housing, the establishment of open public spaces, and the protection of urban green parks.

She said it was also cited in the city’s CLUP better mobility across the city with its plan to build road networks.

The mayor explained that CLUP is an instrument of the local government unit to allocate available land resources to different sectors for different functions.

Aguilar expressed confidence that more development will be made for the city for it to become more progressive.
