The Department of Tourism, Culture, and Arts of Manila (DTCAM) said the lineup of activities for the 453rd founding anniversary of the City of Manila on June 24 includes free concerts starting on May 31.

The official Facebook fun page of the city, “SaMa-SAYA sa Maynila,” also announced a series of free concerts and other activities that will be held at the Kartilya ng Katipunan (beside Manila City Hall) for the month of June.
The first of the activities is “Tunog Maynila,” a free concert featuring the country's premiere OPM bands and performers. It will be held every Saturday from 4 p.m. onwards.
The OPM bands that will perform include Dilaw, Mayonnaise, and Hey June on June 1; Sandwich, Moonstar 88, and The Vowels They Orbit on June 8; Lola Amour, Rico Blanco, and We Got on June 15; and Sunkissed Lola, The Itchyworms, and Better Days on June 22.
Manileños may obtain a special access pass (SAP) before entering the concert grounds.
To get the SAP, they must present any government ID as proof of Manila residency and follow any of the SaMa-SAYA sa Maynila social media accounts.
Non-Manila residents can still watch the concert in the open area of the Kartilya ng Katipunan.
Other activities include:
- Lasa Maynila: A food bazaar by Mercato Central every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Musiko Maynila: A free concert featuring Metro Manila's top marching bands every Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Talentadong Manileño: A talent contest hosted by The Bekshies ng Maynila every Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Lights and Fireworks Show: Every Saturday before and after Tunog Maynila.
