Western Visayas top cop lauds seizure of P7-M shabu in Iloilo


ILOILO CITY – Police Regional Office-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky lauded the confiscation  of more than P7-million worth of suspected shabu in Santa Barbara town, Iloilo province.

The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) of the PRO-6 seized more than a kilo of shabu from suspected drug pushers Bryan and Perper on Thursday, May 4.

“This successful operation reflects how serious and committed you are in your sworn duties. Let’s maintain the intensity of our campaign against these illegal drug traffickers,” said Wanky.

The suspects also yielded a .357 caliber pistol and improvised shotgun.

Bryan was not only a major drug personality but also had a criminal case for robbery in San Jose, the capital of Antique province.

The RPDEU was backed by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), the Santa Barbara Municipal Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
