Take advantage of PBBM's amnesty program, NTF-ELCAC tells Reds

The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) is hopeful that the remaining active members of the Communist Party of the Philippines - New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) will now surrender and avail of the amnesty offered by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
NTF-ELCAC Director Arnulfo G. Bajarin said the anti-communist task force welcomes the call of Marcos to support the granting of amnesty to rebel returnees.
"Doon naman sa nagrerekrut, tigilan niyo na iyang pagrerekrut ninyo. Maawa kayo sa ating mga kababayan. Maawa kayo sa ating kapwa Pilipino. Again, hinihikayat ko ang lahat na bumaba na, mag-surrender, mag-avail sa ating E-CLIP, mag-avail sa iba't ibang programa ng gobyerno na nakahanda na para sa inyo, at mag-avail sa amnesty program (Regarding the recruiter, cease the recruitment process. Show compassion towards our fellow countrymen. Once again, I urge everyone to descend, surrender, take advantage of our E-CLIP, access the different government initiatives available, and participate in the amnesty program)," said Bajarin.
Bajarin added that the amnesty program is the key to ending insurgencies in the country.
"Amnesty is very timely, dahil paliit na nga nang paliit yung lugar na kinikilusan ng mga [miyembro ng] Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) at nagbigay pa ang gobyerno (Amnesty is very timely, given that the operational area of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) is diminishing, and the government has made a concession)," he said.
Bajarin disclosed that the task force intends to designate Project Development Officers (PDOs) from every government agency to guarantee the concentrated execution and supervision of the NTF-ELCAC projects.
He said the proposed amnesty for rebels will enhance the "inclusivity and attractiveness" of other government initiatives aimed at addressing insurgency in order to encourage former members of the CPP, NPA, and NDF "to participate in nation-building and reconstruct their lives."
Such programs include the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) and Barangay Development Program (BDP).
Under the E-CLIP, a package of cash incentives are offered by the government to encourage members of the CPP-NPA-NDF to come forward, abide by the law, and begin a peaceful life again with their families.
Meanwhile, the BDP is the flagship program of the NTF-ELCAC. It aims to bring development to former conflict-ridden communities through the implementation of various socio-economic development projects for barangay beneficiaries.
