P191.5-M shabu, marijuana seized in Cordillera in April


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera seized suspected shabu and marijuana totaling P191.5 million and arrested 33 drug pushers from April 1 to 30.

The Regional Operations Division said 88 operations were conducted – 53 marijuana eradication, 24 buy-busts, six search warrants, three warrants of arrest, one police response, and one checkpoint.

Thirty-three drug pushers were caught – 19 high-value individuals and 14 street-level individuals.

Police confiscated 109.30 grams of shabu, 473,396 fully grown marijuana plants, 480 marijuana seedlings, 549,337.56 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, 251,000 grams of dried marijuana stalks, and 240 milliliters. These were valued at P191,490,495.60.

PRO-Cordillera chief Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr. said these achievements show their relentless efforts to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region and firm commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the community.
