3 foreign drug pushers yield P3.4-M shabu


MALVAR, Batangas – Three foreign nationals were arrested and suspected shabu worth P3.4 million was seized in an encounter with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency here on Thursday afternoon, May 2.

One of the suspects – Yanxing Xue, a Chinese national – sustained an arm injury in the encounter. The identities of the two other suspects are still being determined.

The PDEA flagged down a brown luxury car with the suspects onboard in a subdivision in Barangay Santiago. However, the suspects fled, triggering a pursuit operation.

Police joined the chase and intercepted the car on the southbound lane of the STAR tollway in Barangay San Andres here.

The suspects surrendered and recovered from them were 500 grams of shabu in a brown paper bag with an estimated value of P3.4 million. They are in PDEA custody and face appropriate charges.
