TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Police seized marijuana bricks from a laborer in a checkpoint in Barangay Bugnay, Tinglayan, Kalinga on Monday, May 27.

A LABORER was caught with suspected marijuana in a checkpoint in Barangay Bugnay, Tinglayan, Kalinga on Monday, May 27.
Police Capt. Ruff Manganip, spokesperson of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office, said the 25-year-old suspect from Tanay, Rizal yielded seven bricks and one tubular shape dried marijuana leaves and stalks with fruiting tops weighing about seven kilos worth P840,000.
The drug mule was onboard a passenger jeepney from Barangay Buscalan in Tinglayan when he was arrested.
Manganip said the suspect is under police custody and faces a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
