Korean spy thriller series 'Tempest' with Jun Ji-hyun, Gang Dong-won coming to Disney+
Korean stars Jun Ji-hyun (aka Gianna Jun) and Gang Dong-won are teaming up for a Korean thriller series coming exclusively to Disney+.
Titled “Tempest,” the drama is set in modern-day Korea and follows Seo Munju (Jun Ji-hyun), a highly accomplished diplomat and former ambassador to the United States, and Sanho (Gang Dong-won), an international special agent as they race to uncover the truth behind an attack that threatens the future stability of the Korean peninsula.

Jun Ji-hyun has starred in dramas such as “My Love from the Star” and “Legend of the Blue Sea.”
Gang Dong-won’s acting credits include “Broker,” “Peninsula,” and “A Violent Prosecutor.”
In the series, Munju is a career diplomat who turns her razor sharp intellect to uncovering the source of a lethal attack, while Sanho is an enigmatic agent shrouded in a veil of secrets.
“Tempest” is directed by Kim Heewon (“Queen of Tears,” “Little Women,” “Vincenzo”) and co-directed by Korea’s leading martial arts director Heo Myunghaeng (“The Outlaws 4”), and is written by Chung Seokyung (“Decision to Leave,” “The Handmaiden,” “Little Women”).
Tempest is the latest Korean drama to be announced as part of the ever-growing collection of Korean content now available on Disney+.
