How Bellevue Manila embraces green technology and sustainability travel
The hotel launches its first e-vehicle charging station
Adopting electric vehicles (EV) in a car-centric country is becoming increasingly crucial, especially today when our environment suffocates significantly, if not the most, from the chokehold of emissions.
To help promote the cause of EVs and sustainable travel, The Bellevue Manila launched its first EV charging station on May 24, 2024, available for guests staying at the hotel.
“At The Bellevue Manila, we strive to provide exceptional hospitality while also being mindful of our environmental impact. Introducing EV charging stations is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to embrace green technology and support sustainable travel,” said Patrick Chan, managing director at The Bellevue Manila.

The hotel has also taken some steps in its operations for environmental impact reduction, including paperless transactions, use of refillable glass containers, and energy recovery ventilation.
“Our goal is to lead by example in the hospitality industry by implementing and promoting sustainable practices,” said Mavic Recio, general manager at The Bellevue Manila. “The installation of the EV charging station is just one of the many initiatives we are undertaking to reduce our environmental footprint and enhance the guest experience.”
Installing an EV charging station may be small at a glance, but it helps further the mission of EVs for the environment. Ultimately, when sustainability becomes genuine and ingrained in every business, nature knows how to reciprocate the "favor" abundantly.
