Nasugbu, Batangas, was carefully selected by Director Elaine Crisostomo as the perfect setting for her upcoming fantasy film "Sinag" which will feature the exceptional talent of Optimum Star Claudine Barretto.

Under the able leadership of Bea Glorioso, who not only produces the film but also plays a role in it as the production manager, the team at Entablado Films is all set to bring this fantasy to life. Harvie Aquino, the multi-talented assistant director, has penned a script that promises to captivate audiences.

Director Elaine Crisostomo is thrilled to be collaborating once again with her long-time friend, Claudine Barretto. Their shared history and mutual respect for each other's craft promise to bring a unique dynamic to the film.

"Matagal na kaming magkaibigan niyan. 90s pa. Nag-amerika lang ako then this time na nasa Pilipinas na ako, told her na kailangang magtrabaho kami sa isang movie and nag-isip kami ng script for her dahil alam naman natin na si Claudine, mahusay talagang umarte eversince and the films na ginawa niya, grabe, kapag sinubay mo lahat, ang lalaking pelikula lahat and box-office hit lahat," said Direk Elaine.

(We've been friends for a long time, since the 90s. When I returned from the US, I suggested to her that we should collaborate on a movie. We developed a script specifically for her, knowing that Claudine is a talented actress. If you've watched all of her movies, you'll see that they have all been box office hits.)

"Excited lahat to work with her lalo na ako. That's why, heto, rolling na tayo and i will do my best bilang direktor niya sa pelikula para the fans and followers at lahat ng nagmamahal sa kanya ay hindi tayo mapapahiya," the director added.

(Everyone is excited to work with her, especially me. So here we are rolling. I will do my best as her director. They will not be disappointed)

Harvie mentioned that he also enjoyed writing the script after being informed that a talented actress would be involved in the project.

"Nung sinusulat ko talaga ang script, sabi ko, Claudine ito. Sinulat ko, ginawa ko and then I presented it to them, kay Direk Elaine at kay Claudine, alam mo yung feeling noong binabasa niya ang script then tinanggap niya at nakita kong she's happy with the dialogue and everything. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam. Ang saya ko. Para talaga kay Claudine ang script," said Harvie.

(When I was writing the script, I said, 'This is for Claudine.' I wrote it and then I presented it to Director Elaine and Claudine. You know the feeling when she was reading the script, then she accepted it, and I saw she was happy with the dialogue and everything. I'm really happy with the script.)

During the story conference for Sinag last month, Claudine expressed her excitement about playing a fairy for the first time in the film.

Sources have revealed that Claudine personally chose the movie costumes, which cost around P300,000.

The same source also mentioned that the production cost of "Sinag" will be quite high as the special effects will be done overseas.

"Sinag" is star-studded because, according to the production, Claudine has many friends who expressed interest in joining the cast of the movie.

The fantasy movie is about the Nayas-Yasak tribe, inhabited by fairies of different levels and statuses. It includes the Healing Fairies led by Liway-way, the Healer Fairies led by Bai Waluka, and the Blue Fairies, with Queen Erna as the Tribe's overall queen.

In the upcoming major war between the fairies and the tikbalang and fairy races, they need a protector for their tribe, who will serve as the designated "Ray." However, Queen Erna has given birth to twin diwatas, Amara and Mayari, and they are confused about which one of them is truly destined for the role and which one is not.

Direk Elaine mentioned that "Sinag" is expected to be completed in June and released in Philippine cinemas this year.
