Civil engineer nabbed for malversation of public funds in Pasay City

A civil engineer was arrested for malversation of public funds through the falsification of public documents on Tuesday, May 28.

Pasay City police chief Col. Mario Mayames identified the suspect as alias Pepot, 52, a resident of Arcebal Street corner Lopez Jaena St., Barangay Quezon, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.

Mayames said the suspect was arrested at around 2:15 p.m. inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Barangay 183, Villamor Airbase, Pasay City.

He said Pepot was arrested by joint operatives from the Pasay police Substation 9 and Aviation Security Group (AVSEG).

The city police chief said Pepot was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Amparo M. Cabotaje-Tang, Presiding Justice, Chairperson Third Division, Sandigan Bayan, Quezon City on August 3, 2017 with no bail recommended.
