As part of the NUSTAR Signatures, the golf invitational forms part of the key events that the development endeavors to host yearly to foster camaraderie amongst partners while showcasing golf and wellness tourism in Cebu. This signature event aims to cement NUSTAR’s positioning as the ultimate lifestyle destination in the Visayas and Mindanao region, capturing an audience that enjoys entertainment and leisure in both gaming and non-gaming activities.

The event saw participants from various nationalities, including Koreans, Japanese, and locals, contributing to the tournament’s diverse and global atmosphere. NUSTAR also hosted this inaugural golf invitational meet with the vision of promoting cross-cultural exchanges and building global connections.

After a rewarding day on the greens, participants returned to NUSTAR for the culminating dinner and awards ceremony, where special prizes and winners took centerstage. A thrilling raffle draw concluded the event, with luxurious prizes including Eye Society vouchers, Garmin Approach S62 golf watches, a Ping G430 Max golf club driver, NUSTAR gaming credits, and Louis Vuitton store credits. 

All year round, NUSTAR offers a hole-in-one prize at hole number six of the picturesque Alta Vista, offering a hole-in-one prize that features the NUSTAR VIP Experience, which includes a three-day, two-night stay in a Fili Suite with breakfast for two persons, Php88,888 worth of gaming credits, and dining credits worth Php10,000 for Fili Café’s buffet lunch and dinner.

NUSTAR Resort and Casino chief operating officer Alan Teo expressed his gratitude to all participants and partners for making the event a resounding success. " Golf is a sport that teaches us patience, precision, and perseverance. Today, we witnessed not just the competitive spirit of our players but also the joy and camaraderie that this sport brings. We look forward to many more successful tournaments in the future," Teo said.

When asked what the best part of the tournament was, one of the participants, Justin Pitt, Managing Partner of Vagabond Hospitality Asia, said, “It has to be getting to play with a team, everyone contributing, and being part of a fun team. It was a really great morning.”

Cebuano entrepreneur and TV personality Paul Jake Castillo added, “The best part would have to be that Cebu was showcased as a destination for events such as this Golf invitational and NUSTAR has set the stage for more exciting events such as this one.”
