BANGUED, Abra – A hog raiser was gunned down in front of a public elementary school here on Monday morning, May 27.
Police said the victim, Catherine A. Aguilar, 38, from Barangay Quillat, Langiden, Abra, was sitting on her motorcycle when two men riding a motorcycle appeared and shot her twice in the head.

She was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead.
Police recovered two empty shells and one deformed slug of a caliber .45 pistol.
Pursuing policemen arrested the suspects – Joemar B. Bayle, the gunman, and Dennis V. Britanico, 21, driver of the motorcycle.
The suspects were also residents of Barangay Quillat where the victim lived.
Bayle was caught in a checkpoint in Barangay Patucannay, Tayum, Abra.
Recovered from him were a backpack bag containing one caliber .45 pistol with magazine assembly with five live bullets and personal belongings.
Britanico was nabbed in Barangay Lingtan, Bangued.
The suspects are under the custody of the Bangued police and face murder charges.
