2 dead in Ilocos Sur motorcycle crash

BANTAY, Ilocos Sur – Two persons were killed in a collision between two motorcycles on the national highway in Barangay Taleb here on Monday afternoon, May 27.

Police identified the fatalities as Roger V. Sadiasa, 63, the driver of a Yamaha motorcycle and resident of Barangay Taleb, and Manolito V. Rivera, 53, back rider of a Honda Click motorcycle and a resident of Barangay Tablac, Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

Investigation disclosed that Sadiasa’s motorcycle was crossing the road when it was hit by the Honda Click motorcycle driven by Joshua Rivera, 17.

Police said all the occupants of the two motorcycles sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital where Sadiasa and Manolito were declared dead on arrival.

Joshua sustained a fractured right shoulder and recuperating in the hospital.
