Walang pasok: Taguig LGU suspends classes


The Taguig City government suspended classes in public and private schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12 on May 27 due to typhoon “Aghon (Ewiniar).” 

“With Metro Manila remaining under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal Number 1 based on PAGASA's latest forecast, the City of Taguig suspends classes from Kinder to Grade 12 (public and private) today, May 27, 2024,” the city government announced on May 27.

Typhoon “Aghon (Ewiniar)” (PAGASA) 

It added, “The suspension is pursuant to the guidelines under DepEd Order No. 37, Series of 2022.”

In its bulletin issued at 5 a.m. on May 27, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said “Aghon” has slightly intensified over the Philippine Sea east of Aurora with “Maximum sustained winds of 140 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 170 km/h, and central pressure of 965 hPa.”

The center of the eye of Typhoon AGHON was estimated based on all available data including those from Baler, Tagaytay, and Daet Doppler Weather Radars at 105 km East of Baler, Aurora (15.6°N, 122.6°E),” it said.
