Thunder, Sandara Park's brother, gets married to ex-Gugudan member Mimi

Thunder (real name Park Sang-hyun), the brother of Sandara Park and former member of K-pop boy band MBLAQ, and Mimi, a former member of girl group Gugudan, got married on May 26. 

The wedding was officiated by actor Choi Soo-jong.

Thunder, 33, and Mimi,, 31, revealed their relationship in July last year when they were guests on the TV show “Second House 2, hosted by husband and wife Choi Soo-jong and Ha Hee-ra. 

After this, Thunder told Korean media that they were getting married in 2024. 

Last Dec. 20, Thunder posted on Instagram that the wedding date was set on May 26. 

“I get to marry the most amazing, prettiest, and loving Mimi in the world. Thank you very much for your congratulations and support,” he wrote. 

Among the celebrities at the wedding were Sandara Park, former MBLAQ member Lee Joon and Ha Hee-ra. 

In an Instagram post, Ha Hee-ra wrote, "My Doong-i and Mimi had a beautiful wedding. It was a truly gracious and touching time. It was a time of deep grace for both Mr. Soo-jong Choi, who was the first officiant, and all of us who sang the blessing song. Both Mr. Soo-jong and I had to hold back our tears. We are so thankful.” 

In a video by Ha Hee-ra, Choi Soo-jong told Thunder and Mimi, “This is the first time I’ve been the officiator since I was born.”

Sandara Park and Lee Joon sang “All For You,” the original soundtrack for the Korean drama “Reply 1997.” 

On the same day, Super Junior’s Ryeowook and Ari, former Tahiti member, got married.
