Muntinlupa City Council calls on PNP to solve killing of barangay captain
The Muntinlupa City Council approved a resolution on May 27, calling on the Philippine National Police (PNP) Muntinlupa to investigate the killing of Barangay Buli Captain Ronaldo Loresca on May 22.
Loresca, 48, was shot by two unidentified men at about 10:16 p.m. while he and his companions were sitting in front of the Sole So Blessed Sneakers and Apparel at No. 195 Manuel L Quezon Street, Barangay Buli.

He was taken by the barangay ambulance to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang. Hospital personnel tried to revive Loresca but he eventually succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head. He was declared dead at 11:26 p.m.
City Council Majority Floor Leader Raul Corro said that during the regular session on May 27, councilors approved a “resolution condemning the killing of Barangay Buli Chairman Ronaldo Loresca and calling on the Philippine National Police to conduct an immediate investigation of the case to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
Another resolution was approved “expressing deepest condolences to the family of the late Barangay Captain of Buli, Hon. Ronaldo Loresca as well as to the people of Barangay Buli.”
Loresca’s family and residents are seeking justice for his killing
From the Loyola Memorial Park Sucat, Loresca’s remains were brought to the Barangay Buli covered court to allow residents to attend his wake.
He will be buried on May 30 at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Cemetery in Buli.
