Fisherman drowns in Ilocos Sur

SINAIT, Ilocos Sur â€“ A 56-year-old fisherman drowned in Barangay Dadalaquiten Norte, this town, on Sunday, May 26.

Police identified the victim as Edison A. Yagin of Barangay Dadalaquiten Norte.

Investigation said the victim sought help from a minor to remove his fish net on the sea.

The victim dived into the sea from his bamboo raft but failed to emerge.

The witness sought help from the police.

The body of the victim was recovered a few minutes later and was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
