DOLE, DepEd collaborate to guide senior high school students on productive career paths
By Trixee Rosel
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd), is now conducting a series of National Career Expo under the career guidance program.
The initiative seeks to provide important chances for graduating senior high school students to explore numerous career paths, gain necessary skills, and eventually achieve meaningful employment.
This aligns with the DOLE’s goal of enhancing employability as outlined in the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan 2023–2028.
The department is dedicated to providing career development support, which includes current labor market information, employment facilitation services, career, vocational, and employment counseling, simplifying PhilJobNet registration, advocating for the First Time Job Seekers Assistance Act, and organizing job fairs.
These collaborative efforts help facilitate well-informed academic and professional exploration, ultimately assisting students in their career preparation into the job market.
