Caloocan LGU issues traffic advisory for 'Araw ng Kalayaan'

The Caloocan City local government issued a traffic advisory on Monday, May 27, for the celebration of Independence Day on June 12.

Motorists should expect heavy traffic from 11 p.m. onwards on June 11 on the following roads:

— Both roads of Rizal avenue corner 10th avenue
— Both roads of Samson Road corner Lapu- Lapu St.
— Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue (EDSA) Southbound Lane going to Balintawak.

The local government unit (LGU) urged motorists to take the following alternative routes:

All vehicles from EDSA going to Mac Arthur can take both routes or can take Gen. Simon St., going to Calle Uno.

Motorists from Mac Arthur to EDSA can also take both routes, while motorists from Mac Athur going to Manila can turn right to Reparo St., then turn left to Caimito Road, and turn right to Samson Road.

All vehicles from Rizal Avenue to Mac Arthur shall take a left turn to 10th Avenue, then turn right to Heroes Del 96 and turn left to Caimito Road or Dagohoy St.

Motorists from Rizal Avenue to EDSA shall take a right turn to 10th Avenue St. and turn left to B. Serrano St.

Vehicles from Rizal Avenue going to Sangandaan shall take a left turn to 10th Avenue St., then turn right to A. Mabini St.

Motorists from Samson Road going to Monumento circle shall take A. Mabini or Heroes Del 96.

The roads will be reopened around 11 a.m. on June 12.
