Tornado rips through barangay in Northern Samar; 4 houses destroyed

TACLOBAN CITY – Four houses were destroyed and eight others were partially damaged, including the barangay covered court, by a tornado that struck Barangay Caburihan, Lavezares, Northern Samar on Saturday, May 25.

The tornado reportedly associated with tropical depression "Aghon" affected 12 people. They were safely evacuated to an emergency shelter. 

No one was hurt among the displaced individuals.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and the police estimated the damage caused by the tornado to around P350,000.
