“I emphasized sa meeting namin ang kahalagahan ng pagtutulungan at pagsusuportahan nating lahat lalo na ngayong may challenges tayong kinahaharap (I emphasized in our meeting the importance of cooperation and support of everyone, especially this time that we are facing challenges),” he said.
Loresca, 48, was shot by two unidentified men at about 10:16 p.m. in front of the Sole So Blessed Sneakers and Apparel at No. 195 Manuel L Quezon St., Barangay Buli.
The police said Loresca and his companions were sitting in front of the store when two male suspects on a motorcycle shot him without any apparent motive and fled towards Sucat.
One of the suspects was wearing a Joy Ride shirt while the other one was in a black t-shirt. Loresca was taken by the barangay ambulance to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang.
Hospital personnel tried to revive Loresca but he eventually succumbed to his gunshot wound in the head. He was declared dead at 11:26 p.m.
“I put my confidence and trust kay PCol Robert C. Domingo kasama ang buo nating kapulisan na makakamit natin ang ating objectives pagdating sa peace and order ng lungsod (I put my confidence and trust kay PCol Robert C. Domingo along with the entire police that we will achieve our objectives when it comes to peace and order of the city),” the mayor added.
Biazon told the Muntinlupa Police about their characteristics he expects from them: “they must be snappy, shining (with integrity, discipline, and initiative), superior (innovators), and skilled.”
He commended the Muntinlupa Police’s initiatives to maintain peace and order including the “Padyak Patrol to enhance community policing efforts and maintain public safety.”
“Pero syempre, while we applaud our accomplishments, ang reminder ko sa ating kapulisan is to always try to outdo ourselves at wag mag-settle on our past achievements (But, of course, while we applaud our accomplishments, my reminder to the police is to always try to outdo ourselves and don’t settle on our past achievements),” he said.
The Muntinlupa Police have yet to give a public update on Loresca’s case.
