Las Piñas LGU tackles operational and financial management audits

The local government of Las Piñas City conducted an exit conference to review the assessments conducted by the Commission on Audit (COA) last Monday, May 20.
The event was attended by Mayor Imelda Aguilar, Vice-Mayor April Aguilar and departments heads at The Excelsior Hotel in Barangay Almanza Uno.
Aguilar said COA Regional Director Atty. Maria Carmina Paulita B. Juguilon-Pagayawan and COA Auditor Ranulfo R. Tacorda examined the operational and financial management of Las Piñas.
She said the city officials presented detailed reports to the COA, demonstrating their commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficiency in handling public funds and services.
The mayor said the exit conference provided a platform for the discussion of the audit findings and formulating strategies in implementing the necessary improvements.
Aguilar emphasized the importance of such audits in upholding the integrity and trust of the citizens in the city's administration.
Vice Mayor April, for her part, highlighted the collaborative efforts of the city departments in striving for excellence and continuous improvement.
The vice-mayor said department heads presented their respective reports and action plans, addressing the audits' findings and outlining steps to enhance operational efficiencies.
She said the conference concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to keep a transparent and accountable governance, ensuring that Las Piñas City continues to serve its residents effectively and responsibly.
