Ford launches new Mustang and Bronco

Two legends reborn


Ford has the answer to excitement, whether it’s on the road or off in the form of two new vehicles just launched: the new Mustang and new Bronco. Both are now available at Ford dealerships nationwide and for online reservations via the Ford Philippines website.

New Mustang

The new Mustang serves as the 7th-generation iteration of the iconic sports coupe. It comes in two variants: the 5.0L GT Premium Fastback with a starting retail price of P3,999,000 and the 2.3L EcoBoost Premium Fastback that starts at P3,499,000. 

Both variants also come with more equipment as standard. First off is the new MagneRide Damping System which allows the driver to increase comfort or handling when on the road or on the racetrack. Other additions are Brembo brakes, a quad chrome tip exhaust with active valve functionality that lets the driver control the volume of the Mustang’s engine growl, and 19-inch Aluminum Wheels with–unique designs for each variant. Interiors also have Recaro leather-trimmed sport seats and soft touch accents all around. Both also get a 10-Speed SelectShift® Automatic Transmission.

The Mustang comes equipped with the latest driving and safety tech starting with its selectable drive modes like: Normal, Sport, Slippery, Custom, Track, and Drag Strip — all with a simple click.

Entertainment comes from a magnesium-framed 13-inch colored center display powered by SYNC4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition, Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility, and wireless mobile charging. For the driver, a 12-inch Digital Cluster provides real-time information. 

It also comes with Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology that actively assists drivers while enhancing the overall road experience. It has a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross Traffic Alert and Braking, Auto High Beam Headlights, Post Impact Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Centering Assist function. The All-New Mustang also has Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Evasive Steer Assist that alert and assists the driver if a potential collision is detected.

Another innovation is FordPass connectivity. This allows the driver access to information like an Intelligent Oil Life Monitor, Vehicle Status, and Vehicle Location.

One option buyers can choose is the segment-first electronic drift brake, which has the look and functionality of a traditional, mechanical hand brake with electronic performance. The Performance Electronic Parking Brake comes standard with the Performance Pack on all Mustang models.

The Mustang GT Premium Fastback variant comes with a 5.0LTi-VCT V8 capable of producing 493 PS of power and 567 Nm of torque. The EcoBoost Premium Fastback variant meanwhile produces 319 PS of power and 475 Nm of torque. There are also GT Premium Exclusive Colors: Grabber Blue and Yellow Splash which customers can get for an additional P20,000. New Bronco

Ford’s other launch is that of the much-awaited Bronco. The 5-door SUV with its striking bold lines and rugged style is available in a single version, the Outer Banks variant with Sasquatch Package with a starting retail price of P4,998,000. It also comes with a complimentary Peace of Mind service inspection package for a worry-free ownership experience.

Inspired by the car that set the mold for SUVs since 1965, the all-new Bronco combines functionality and style to offers unparalleled capability in rough terrain. Like the original, the new Bronco comes with a carbonized gray Molded-in-Color hard top with a sound deadening headliner. It also gives an open-air rush with an easy-to-pull-off-and-store removable roof and doors option. 

Inside, it comes with leather trimmed seats in dark space gray and navy pier color with a 10-way power adjust for the driver’s seat and 8-way power adjust for the front passenger, extending flexibility to cater to various seating preferences. 

Powering the Bronco is a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 Engine with Auto Start-Stop, which is capable of delivering 335-PS of power and 555-Nm of torque, is mated to a 10-Speed Automatic Transmission to bring more power to off-roading or trail riding. 

Included in the Outer Banks variant with Sasquatch Package are features like Advanced 4x4 with on-demand engagement that come with G.O.A.T. Modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain), High performance Off-road Stability Suspension (HOSS) System with Position-sensitive Bilstein shock absorbers, a 4.7 final drive ratio with electronic-locking front and rear axles, high clearance suspension and fender flares, 17-inch black high gloss-painted aluminum, with warm alloy ring, beadlock capable wheels, and 35-inch mud-terrain (M/T) tires.

Connectivity is care of a SYNC4 infotainment system with a 12-inch colored touchscreen with swipe capability and enhanced voice recognition. It doubles as a monitor for the 360-degree camera that gives better visibility. It is also equipped with a premium B&O Sound System with 10 speakers including subwoofer. 

The Bronco also comes with Ford Co-Pilot360 technology, a suite of enhanced driver-assist technologies and safety features such as Auto High-Beam Headlights, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping System, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking to name a few.

Finally, the Bronco also is FordPass app ready with certain features such as the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor, Vehicle Status, and Vehicle Location-giving owners information support they need to fuel their adventures.

It is priced at P4.998 million and comes with the Peace of Mind Package (free general inspection within 2 months/2,000 km, whichever comes first, and free labor on your first and second PMS).
